The overall building size is 6.5m x 2.3m, to give the clients an internal garden room of 4m and a store of 2m.
The building was constructed of Structural Insulation Panels (SIPs) to give excellent insulation values.
The garden room has underfloor heating for year-round use.
Lit with LED downlights inside and out to add great visibility in the garden at night.
Aluminium bi-folding doors allow the client to bring the garden inside, when the weather is good, and maximise on natural lighting on cloudy days.
The modern rubber roof means the client doesn’t have to worry about it for the next 30 years, at least.
20mm thick Redwood cladding which has been finished in a 7-year all-weather protective finish.
Plastered and painted inside – with skirting and laminate floor – it has the feeling of a ‘lounge in the garden’, that can be used whatever the weather.
A TV aerial was installed, so that our client could watch the tennis in the sunshine.
