The requirement was an additional living space in the grounds of a North Burlingham property. As the main property would be looking onto the building, our clients were keen on a building that not only performed but had visual appeal.
A solid steel construction, thoroughly insulated and finished to perfection – plastered, painted and skirting applied on the interior, and beautifully varnished Red Cedar cladding on the exterior.
Beautifully decorated using Farrow & Ball or Dulux colours and modern, high-performance double-glazed windows and doors. The garden room also required electrical power points and lighting – all completed to the client’s requirements by our experienced team.
The structural components of floor, ceiling and walls guaranteed that the stand-alone garden room had superb thermal and sound insulation – the U-value of the walls was greater than 0.22, exceeding building regulations. The through construction prevented bridging and all joints were sealed and taped.
Using very modern materials and time-honoured techniques, our clients will be enjoying their new garden room for many years – and with very little maintenance required.
